Medical dictation and transcription involves the process of switching voice recorded reports, as determined by health care professionals, into text. Transcription is carried out in other areas such as legal, but inside medical is executed by dentists, nurses, doctors etc.

They will then transcribe this into the necessary format to be retrieved by the doctor at a later date.
